Months of planning brought our dear Parisian friend Michèle all the way from Brazil to Bozeman, Montana, where we picked her up to join us at Hubbard Lodge. Little did we know that Mother Nature had a 1,000 year flood in store.
- Michèle and I have had so many Zoom calls the last few years. Great to hug her in person!
- Mike talking overseas to Bob and Bill, Michèle’s sons.
- Gus and I having an early morning yawn,
- Tom Cruise, eat your heart out.
- Mike and Michèle expertly herding.
- Mike and Michèle showing their self control in the face of unlimited candy.
- Michèle posing with local libations.
- Mike following doctor’s orders.
- Michèle dealing out Tens. She was the big winner!
- Out on the range with the best cowhands!
- On the ceiling in the dining room, ducks as viewed from underwater.
- Mike was thrilled that they had his favorite dessert – vanilla ice cream!
- At the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.
- Trying to stay dry, but still very much in love.
- Historical photo of the Tom Miner bridge, which we drove over less than 24 hours before it collapsed.
- Where the Tom Miner bridge used to be. Such a shock for this region, the first of many bridges to collapse.
- We were honored to meet Howard Schultz, former CEO of the Seattle Mariners, who was also a guest at the ranch. He evacuated by helicopter after the flood.
- Flooding was devastating as we drove out of town.
