Castle Hot Springs has been open since 1896! Just an hour from Phoenix, this is truly an Arizona gem. Over the decades, celebrities and dignitaries from around the world found their way to the healing waters of Castle Hot Springs. The guest register includes magnates of industry like the Rockefeller and the Pew families plus the Vanderbilts and Astors. President Theodore Roosevelt stayed at the resort during the dedication of the Roosevelt Dam. In the 1940’s the resort was used as a military rehabilitation center to treat veterans wounded during World War II, including future president John F. Kennedy.
- Castle Hot Springs is naturally fed with 200,000 gallons of pressure heated water daily.
- No sulphur smell at all! They have several pools, all natural rock, at various temperatures. This one was about 102 degrees Fahrenheit.
- This is the same pool… back in the day.
- What a great place for a little R&R.
- The water is also used to irrigate the organic farm on property. The food here is incredible, which is great since it’s in the middle of nowhere. Definitely all-inclusive.
Thanks Sue and Mike!
I’m adding Castle Hot Springs to my bucket list!
