Mike had a backpacking trip with Wildland Trekking through the Belcher River Valley in southwest Yellowstone over five days, and fifty-two miles! The hikes included incredible thermal pools and waterfalls, and was much less crowded that the touristy spots in Yellowstone.
- Mike with hiking buddies Bruce and his son Reid from Louisiana.
- Steaming thermals to start the morning.
- In “Bubbles” hot pool, warmed by thermals.
- Relaxing around the fire while the guide made dinner. Nice to sit down!
- A truly A+ tent site right by the river.
- Mike skinny dipped across the river on a dare – to win FIVE dollars!
- A quick break on one of the daily ten mile hikes.
- One of many rivers we had to ford.
- Crossing a huge grassland prairie in Yellowstone, looking for game.
- Dunanda Falls.
- The luxurious hot spring pool at the base of Dunanda Falls, where hot thermals sit directly underneath a magnificent waterfall.
- The grizzly bear is ready to come back home!
What a great time hiking with Mike and my Boy in Yellowstone! Would not be the same experience without the stories and memories made with a great guy like Mike!
