We pulled over in a field of jumpy grasshoppers to snap photos of a crop duster with quite the aerial skills. In a few seconds, the pilot dropped spray from maybe 5 ft., then climbed up to 20 ft. to go over an irrigation sprinkler, then back down to 5 ft., only to climb a few seconds later to avoid some telephone lines. They’re probably spraying the genetically modified soybeans with some kind of nasty weed killer. We weren’t there for long, as we didn’t want any pesticide drift coming our way… but we sure were impressed with the pilot!

- The Greenbelt Loop around the falls is 11 miles – perfect for a bike ride. This bike is just like the one I had as a kid!

- Ever had a pickle beer? It must be great with the smoked fries.
- An over-the-top traffic circle. Idaho Falls used to be called Eagle Rock. The name was changed to attract farmers who didn’t like eagles OR rocks!
