Olympic National Park is obviously one of our favorite places in the world. We hit three major spots in the park – Sol Duc Falls, Lake Crescent and Hurricane Ridge. We only had to wear our masks in the rare instance that we passed someone on the trail. So few people here!
- Best example of a nursery log we’ve ever seen.
- Wouldn’t you love to hike here?
- Looking up with respect for my elders.
- Overlooking Sol Duc Falls.
- Of course the best part of Sol Duc is the hot springs. Particularly when you’re the first ones at 8am. Just us and the lifeguard.
- We are in a VERY reliably wet rainforest.
- Love the Dr. Seussical moss.
- Did you know banana slugs are actually edible?
- Nature waking up with an early morning stretch.
- Cute face at the end of a huge log.
- One of the most spectacular wind-free days we’ve ever seen at Hurricane Ridge.
- Deer at Hurricane Ridge – and they’re not even looking at the view!
- Hurricane ridge wildflowers.
- At Marymere Falls, a delightful little hike from Lake Crescent.
- Kayaks ready to go. There are only a very few motorboats on this lake. No jet skis. Very mellow.
- Happy kayakers.
- As the wind picked up, we stayed a little closer to shore. Good move, because the rain caught us as well.
- Matching masks! Bigfoot and I are twins!
