We like to pack in the events when we hit Seattle – this was a great three days of friends and family.
- A fierce feminist, Gloria Steinem co-founded Ms. magazine in 1972. She’s been carrying the rally flag for women’s rights for generations. At age 85, she’s still a compelling and wickedly funny speaker. And she wore leather pants!
- My buddy Kathy Shelby scored us lecture tickets. Gloria Steinem’s new book, is a compilation of her most popular quotes and short stories. As Isaac Newton said, “If I have seen further than others, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”
- Daddy-to-be Adam and Mama-to-be Sarah are all smiles at her Karaoke birthday party.
- Sarah and I sang a duet between the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch from the musical Wicked called “For Good”. Because it was her birthday, she got to be the GOOD witch.
- Mike talking his way through “A Boy Named Sue”.
- Our friends Mitch Kief and Tanya Baklanoff singing, “Hit the Road Jack”.
- My grand nephew Ryan is crazy for bowling, so we headed out with the gang for a few hours of fun.
- Uncle Mike teaching Ethan how scoring works for bowling.
- All I said was, “Hey everyone, hold your balls and we’ll take a group picture”. Oh, Anthony!!!
