Nashville is the capital, and some would say the heart of Tennessee. The population of around 700,000 swells with tourists who come for the music, the food and the party attitude.

- We were so lucky to hear Vince Gill, with the Time Jumpers at 3rd and Lindsey. The best Monday night gig in Nashville. If you ever go, be sure to get the $20 tickets early!
- Each of the members of the Time Jumpers is an expert on his/her instrument. They’ve been together for over 20 years. I’ve never heard a better fiddler than Larry Franklin.
- Painted on a worn building by Australian artist Rone is a captivating and alluring woman. She will weather with time, as we all do.

- Well, now. This is a drinking and partying town. We saw plenty of bachelor and bachelorette parties.

- We’ve never seen as many musicians walking around carrying instruments as Nashville.

- It seems like country stars used to go out of their way to out-sequin each other. This jacket was worn by Porter Wagner, who was an early mentor to Dolly Parton.
- Dolly Parton always knows how to choose the right clothing to highlight her assets.
- Recognize this guy? That’s a very young and polished Willie Nelson, before he decided to go his own way. He hated this “Nashville” look.
- Apparently Nashville is known for HOT chicken. Legend has it that a philandering husband was served fried chicken heavy on the cayenne pepper as punishment. But he liked it – and the rest is history!
