We spent our New Years Eve in the midst of a crazy crowd, soaked with cider, in Montevideo’s legendary annual Cider Battle. Everyone drinks cider, dances, and sprays each other with shook up bottles of effervescent cider. They even spray you from the wrought iron balconies! To add to the mayhem, Mike lost his wallet somewhere in the middle of the crowd while he was jumping and dancing. No harm done – we cancelled the credit card and lost some pesos. The lucky person who found the wallet must have been thrilled. An unintentional random act of kindness to end the year.
