With mixed feelings, we said goodbye to Tahoe. We, along with Dan and Vicki, Jim Foster and a couple of local guys, spent the last three days there, moving, hauling to the dump, cleaning and reminiscing. Dan and Vicki had already done the lion’s share of the work, but even the final few days were exhausting. Now, let’s celebrate!
- Dan and Vicki and Mike and I celebrating the sale.
- Cleaning out the barn ended up being the biggest job of all. The guys were so sore the next day.
- We sure have great memories from here.
- The cleaning crew is ready.
- Full moon rising at sunset. El Niño has brought the lake level up several feet, more than enough to cover what used to be a boulder field.
- The snow has started to melt. A few weeks ago, there was 8 ff. of snow on the roofs. Dan had to shovel them so the roofs wouldn’t cave in!
- Everyone worked so hard, only stopping to eat. Eventually, we packed the chairs and ate on the floor.
- Building a custom trailer out of a flatbed, 2x4s and plywood.
- We left the Tahoe relief map for the new owners.
- Our last sunrise at Tahoe.
