Time to SING at my old alma mater, Pacific Lutheran University. The Choir of the West hosted a reunion for their 90th anniversary. The oldest choir member had graduated in 1953! As we sang, “So shall we rejoice and be glad, all the days of our lives.”
- Stopped in to see Mom, who was all dolled up for Seahawks Blue Friday.
- Current enrollment is 3,300 students, not much different from when I was there.
- The glorious new Lagerquist Concert Hall at PLU. The wood for the organ is Pacific Northwest Douglas Fir.
- My dear friend Ron Snyder, one of my best buddies at PLU.
- My buddies Lynn Bartlett-Johnson and Jene Holte coming in for a hug.
- The perfect treat to go along with our dinner banquet.
- Thank goodness the rafters were well secured. The combined choir of 350+ was powerful.
- Singing a spiritual – “Set Down Servant”!
- A standing ovation at our finale, “Beautiful Saviour”
- Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, the other gold. Ron Snyder, Marnee Hollis and Bryan Ruerup.
