Parc National Des Calanques, created in 2012 is the only national park in Europe that is terrestrial, marine and peri-urban (near Marseilles on one end and Cassis on the other). It stretches along the warm sunny south of France.
- We’re always at home on a cliff.
- We’re so happy to be with our French family again!
- Lovely bay for a swim.
- Sunset at the Calanques.
- Ready for a day of boating.
- Bring your swimsuits, but not your penguins.
- The small inlets are spectacular, each with it’s own unique geography and personality.
- Bathing beauties!
- Over 20,000 acres of land and 100,000 acres of maritime area are now protected.
- Don’t let Bob drive!
- Majestic cliffs as far as the eye can see – the steepest in Europe.
- Hiking around on the limestone. Soil is almost non-existent. The trees are rooted in rock.
- Mike and I in for a swim.
- Michèle and Bill feeding the fish.
- Lovely ending to a sun soaked day. Check out the castle up above our heads!
