Chambers Bay and Bandon Dunes should be on the bucket list for any golfers. Both are classic Scottish golf – no carts, only walking about 7 miles per day on the course. Our buddies, Harp (all the way from Boston) and Dave (all the way from Sonoma) joined us for a best of the northwest golf trip.
- Harp, Dave, Mike and I by the lone tree at Chambers Bay.
- A sun-kissed 80 degree day.
- Yes, we did some of that, too!
- Bandon Dunes, where we fought winds of nearly 40 mph.
- Evening by the putting green.
- Harp celebrating after a working man’s par.
- Just like Scotland, beautiful heather.
- One of many chasms over which we drove the ball.
- Several holes at Bandon and Pacific Dunes perch on cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
- We found more than a few onerous sand traps.
- Harp deciding whether he should scale the cliff to recover a ball.
- The best tool in the bag is a good eraser.
- Dave with a great shot from a tough lie.
- Imagine this photo 5 times as wide.
- A black raven watches over the bar.
