Saw some new trails and Native American caves in Sedona and Flagstaff this time around. Our friends from Paris – Michèle and her sons Bill and Bob were along for some Southwest sojourning.
- April is prime time for flowers in Sedona. We missed the rain, but were there for the blooms.
- Breathtaking even at midday.
- Hiking the Bell Rock Vista Trail.
- Adventurers from afar – Bill, Michèle and Bob all the way from Paris.
- Bob’s fast camera work – catching a butterfly in mid flutter.
- Ledges formed by Walnut Creek left perfect alcoves for sheltering native people from wind, snow and rain.
- We squeezed in, but those natives must have been shorter than us.
- The Sinagua tribe lived here 800 years ago.
- Sandstone literally braided by the wind and rain.
- Bob doing his best to create an earthquake.
- Just north of Flagstaff is a relatively young cinder cone, Sunset Crater.
- Hang onto your hat – we had high winds at the rim of Lenox Crater.
