Port Angeles is a coastal city off Washington state’s peninsula, where the cold Pacific ocean crashes into the shore. It has fresh salty air with just enough humidity, and is located in a rain shadow, where the Olympic mountains block precipitation, creating a sunny Washington banana belt of sorts.
