Vermont has a foliage index, where the peak leaf color is predicted day by day. We were SO lucky to be in the right place at the right time, and with dry weather. We could hardly find an evergreen tree in Manchester – they seemed to all be deciduous. Such a pleasure to the eye for a few weeks, before they all fall and are coated with a blanket of snow.
