Seattle glass artist Dan Corson created “Sonic Bloom”,
which uses solar panels to generate power for the
flowers to sing when you are near them, move
their petals in the light, and illuminate at night.

Seattle does NOT sell the most umbrellas in the US,
but it does sell the most sunglasses per capita.
Even though it’s frequently overcast, maybe the amount
of sports in Seattle necessitates sunglasses?

Chambers Bay in Tacoma, which used to be the
site of an old gravel pit, has developed into an
unbelievably beautiful golf course.  The US Open
is scheduled here in 2015.

Premier golf course architect Robert Trent Jones
created Chambers Bay, and named this hole after
Foxy, number 14 at Royal Dornoch in Scotland,
since it looks out on Fox Island in the Puget Sound.
