Breathtaking Bryce Canyon – life on the edge!
Originally named “Bryce’s Canyon”
after Mormon settler Ebenezer Bryce
who left Scotland as a pioneer with
his wife Mary.  Homesteading the
“land that nobody wanted” in 1875,
 he declared his canyon,
“a hell of a place to lose a cow”.
Even the chipmunks are transfixed by the view.
Little industry and light pollution make Bryce
Canyon a star gazing paradise.
We had plenty of room in the Pilatus, but
getting all our luggage in the car required a
shoehorn and some Vaseline.
Har! Har!  National Park humor!
