One of our favorite courses was Quinta da Marinha
in Cascais, Portugal.  This view of the 8th hole
is from our balcony – we were so close we could
clap after someone had a good shot!
It was pretty cold and windy the first couple
of days we played the course, but then the
skies cleared, sunny calm weather appeared

and we REALLY loved the golf.
We eventually got the translation from the
Portuguese, which said that after hitting our
tee shots across the huge canyon, we were
supposed to walk over to the green, mark our
balls and let the next group hit their shots.
