Strong teeth are important to survival. When old lions lose their teeth, they are shunned from the pride and eventually starve to death. It’s a jungle out there. Lions live about 14 years in the wild. |

The male lion’s job is to protect the pride, fighting off carnivores after the cubs or fighting other male lions for dominance. |

The lioness was definitely the hardest working mother we saw. She does the hunting, and watches after cubs that seem to hardly ever sleep! This one is trying to catch a wink. |
