some idea of the scale climbed.

Mike thought this hike was more
physically demanding than Mt. Rainier.

The last part of the climb required a 5.4
climbing maneuver on crumbly rock.
The top of the peak awaits on the left.
We awoke at 1am, and started climbing at 2am,
summited at 10am, finished the day at base
camp at 8:30pm.  This is the very
definition of exhaustion.

The huge snowfall this year hid dangerous
 crevices necessitating safety lines, crampons
and ice axes.
