This great exhibit, if you get a chance to see it. The 176 pieces of art (paintings, sculptures, drawings and etchings) have been in Paris for decades, but now will be on a US tour from Seattle, WA to Richmond, VA to San Francisco, CA while the Musee National in Paris undergoes a $28 million rennovation.


Mom and I were there on opening day (if you wore blue, you got in free, in honor of Picasso’s blue period). Photos inside the exhibit were not allowed, but I did snap some Picasso inspired sidewalk art. For a little afternoon sweet, the Four Seasons Hotel across the street from the museum did a Picasso inspired dessert:

right eye? raspberry sorbet topped with sponge cake
left eye? lemon cheesecake
nose? yellow layer cake
lips? meringue
