For those of you non-Seattlelites, Steve Pool is weathercaster extraordinaire, who you may have seen in one of his 70 appearances on Good Morning America. He’s also won seven Emmy awards. Very nice guy, and a good golfer, too!

We won “golf with Steve” as a charity auction item for Boys & Girls Clubs. We even let him pick the day, and as you can see from the photos, it was a 5 star Seattle day.

I took the opportunity to ask him my Seattle weather question (it’s green here for a reason, people!): How many ways does he have to describe rain? “Precip, mist, sprinkles, droplets, spritz, drizzle, showers, rain, splats, soaker, gully washer, monsoon and flooder.”

Steve’s favorite word to describe the weather is when it is dismal and drizzly. He calls it DRIZMAL. Sounds like Seattle in January.
