We’re officially calling this the Gortex Golf Tour. Sprinkles, showers, rain, winds up to 40 miles per hour. Wind so fierce that wearing a brimmed hat of any sort is impossible. It’s a battle with the elements.

On the plus side, outstanding views. Challenging golf, to say the least. The old Irish courses are much more narrow than modern courses, with much more trouble to get into (weeds, water, rocks) along the edges.
Our Irish courses so far: Doonbeg, Lahinch, Ballybunion, Kileen Course at Killarney, Waterville Golf Links. The bottom photo is Ballybunion…not too often we play golf with 14th century castle ruins in the middle of the course!
