She blew her top in 1980, and now has an eerie presence with a little steam from the center portion. Although the greenery is coming back, the amount of downed trees, looking like so many toothpicks is still a stunning sight.
Yup, that's the scorecard. In Sun Valley, where the elevation and dry air makes the ball go way further, I actually shot 89. Woohoo! Golf is a VERY humbling game however, and I proceeded to shoot a 107 the next day. That feeling of euphoria is quick but FUN!!!
Well, pardner, it was a Western Party and everybody can't come as a cowboy. Somebody has to be the BULL! Here he is complete with horns and a cowbell (or is that bull bell)?
Well, now! This scantily clad lion was actually at the wrong party, but as long as he was here, we took advantage of a couple of photos. To quote one of the female party guests, "Here, kitty kitty!"
P.S. Yes, those are handcuffs I'm wearing. It was a western party and I went as a sheriff. Trying to clean up this town!
Mike climbing Mt. Shuksan, in the North Cascades. Clear day, no parka required, fantastic views! We'll have more of these trips next year, if you want to come along!
Sister Kathy and I took a bow with Liberace...he invited us to his museum, where we got to see really cool stuff like a rhinestone studded Rolls Royce, and fancy pianos, but the best feature was this patriotic outfit below he wore for a 4th of July show. The sparklers on the shorts just put the "hot" in hot pants, don't they?
There was a very interesting woman we met, named Madame Tussaud. She introduced us around! From the top, I gave Tiger some advice on putting (he'll be back on the tour in no time), sang a song with Stevie, and last but not least, whispered some sweet nothings to HEF himself!!!
Bon soir! Here we are at the base of Le Tour Eiffel in Paris (where the sky is always a picturesque dusk) We went all the way to the top to take in the dancing waters at Bellagio.
