Oh YEAH...after climbing up the arch, we set lines, took a deep breath and rappelled off the top of Corona Arch, descending 115 feet. It's a little unnerving when you run out of rock to stand on and have to jump to the hanging position.
It was such a kick in the pants, we did it three times!!
This is the confluence of the Green River (left) and the Colorado River, just outside Moab, Utah. It's amazing to see the two rivers actually mixing right before your eyes!
OK, so we drove up to Canada to go skiing, but because of traffic and road closures it was taking us w-a-y too many hours to drive to the ski resort, so we cut our losses and stopped off here for R&R. (Note that I'm dancing in my hiking boots!!) We danced, soaked in the hot mineral baths and went to the spa. Or should I say spahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh?
To celebrate Mom's 77th... we had (top row) my daughter Sarah and her boyfriend Brian. Bottom row from the left is Mike, Brian's daughter Gwen, Mom, my niece Jessica and her husband Anthony. It had been a long time since we'd all worn birthday hats :)
This rock is at the TPC Scottsdale golf course. In 1999, Tiger Woods hit a ball next to it and eight beefy fans from the gallery were allowed to move it so he could hit the ball. Apparently, the officials ruled that it was a "loose impediment"! We couldn't budge it...
OK, ladies, for those of you who are badgering me to know if Mike has any unmarried brothers, here he is!! Rolly "aka Six Pack" is retiring from John Deere soon, with time to burn. Go get him gals!!
Oh, the views you get when snowmobiling on a clear day. Here is Mt. Rainier - at least 20 miles away from our viewpoint and as clear as a bell. Every once in a while when it quits raining (!) you realize just how beautiful the Pacific Northwest really is!
