With the Naked Singer in Times Square

My, oh my. Brothers Charlie, Mike and Dan were more than happy to pose for a photo op with the "Naked Singer". This gal was standing out in the middle of Times Square on a 60 degree day, strummin' her guitar. Believe it or not, Mike had no recollection of her patriotic attire. Wonder what he was looking at?  Posted by Picasa

NYC - A bicycle built for SEVEN?

In Times Square, they have a bicycle that you can ride - everyone sits in a circle and peddles through traffic (with the supervision of a pedicab driver). We had a narrow miss with a couple of truck mirrors and almost rear ended a cab...this was probably our most HIGH ACTIVITY adventure in the Big Apple! Posted by Picasa

Riding the Subway in NYC

Yes! We successfully navigated the subway. It was fast, clean and pretty danged quick, too. The underground stations have spectacular tile work on some of the stops. Posted by Picasa

NYC Atop the Empire State Building

The Empire State Building is now the tallest building in New York. That's Manhattan in the background. Luckily, King Kong was no where to be found...

The Empire State Building took only one year and 45 days to build, which is still a record for a skyscraper of such a height. 102 floors, built in 1930 and 1931. The art deco lobby is absolutely gorgeous. Posted by Picasa

In New York at the Carnegie Deli

Oh, YES!! The corned beef on rye was to die for. There are so many calories tempting the eye in New York it seems inconceivable that New Yorkers are not all overweight (which they are not)... gee, it must be the tourists that eat all these goodies! That's Mike's "little" brother Charlie and his wife Deb from Orlando with us - we had a great time!
