Hiking at Hurricane Ridge in Olympic Nat'l Park, WA
A spectacular but hot 90 degree day - we took a short hike, came back early after we realized the deer flies were really biting. The view was worth it... we see the other side of this mountain range from our house.
Winthrop is a little town in Eastern WA - with elevated wooden sidewalks, a saloon and ice cream parlor. This western dude is pretty cool, huh? I think his name is Woody.
Here we all are at the Chuckwagon dinner at the YMCA camp - one of our more sedate outings. That was inbetween the climbing adventures, zip lines, archery, swimming, squirt gun fights, sailing, volleyball, miniature golf, canoeing, hiking, water balloon fights, horseback rides, kayaking and late night partying. Yeah!!!!!
Dave & Busters is a cool video arcade/restaurant where we met up with my family for some FUN. We rode motorcycles, played B-Ball, shot rifles, and played with toy trucks. The boxing was definitely a highlight. Those are 2 lb. gloves we're using, and you have to "KO" your opponent to win - we both worked up a sweat on this one!
Wow - what a great celebration. It was hot and sunny, and we watched the fireworks surrounded by family. There was wagering aplenty (a buck per person) for a guess as to when the first bomb would burst in the air. Mike's sister Cookie won $9 !!!
